ConvoTide + sms-ocean
One account, two products.
sms-ocean is Capricorncorp’s business SMS platform — SMS APIs and campaigns for business updates and customer communication. ConvoTide is the WhatsApp workspace in the same product family. They share one customer account: sign in at app.capricorncorp.com. ConvoTide access is being prepared for the pilot. SMS is never a purchase requirement for ConvoTide, and activating ConvoTide does not change your SMS setup.
How the three surfaces fit together
sms-ocean.com — the SMS product site
The public site for the SMS platform: SMS APIs, campaigns, and the supported SMS use cases (transactional updates, OTP and permitted promotional sending), with its own pricing and developer documentation. Product questions about SMS are answered there.
cloud.capricorncorp.com — the cloud console
The Capricorncorp cloud console is the console surface for the Capricorncorp cloud account. It is an operations surface, not a second login for ConvoTide: day-to-day customer work — inbox, campaigns, SMS sends — happens in the customer workspace below, not in the console.
app.capricorncorp.com/engage — the shared workspace
The existing portal serves SMS-Ocean. ConvoTide (WhatsApp campaigns, shared inbox, CRM, journeys) is being integrated at the /engagedestination for the pilot. The shared account, business selector and product navigation are being verified before public workspace activation.
One account, no second registration
- Already an SMS-Ocean customer? You keep using your existing Capricorncorp account — no second login, no new phone number. ConvoTide appears as an optional product activation in the same workspace, and a valid shared session avoids a duplicate login.
- New to the family? Start with WhatsApp only. ConvoTide onboarding needs no SMS purchase, no wallet top-up and no SMS DLT setup. SMS-Ocean can be activated later, from the same account, if and when you want SMS.
- Identity is shared; membership is explicit. The account is common, but access to a business and its data is permission-aware — a shared login never silently grants access to every business or every product’s data.
Pilot stage — ConvoTide is at pilot stage, with sample data and no live messaging yet; the status page states the integration posture component by component.
Running SMS and WhatsApp side by side
The two products are designed to coexist, not to collide. Today that means each channel keeps its own tooling, consent record and bill:
- SMS stays on sms-ocean. Your SMS numbers, routes, DLT registration (where applicable), packs and delivery reporting continue exactly as they are. Activating ConvoTide does not migrate or re-register them.
- WhatsApp runs on your own Meta assets. ConvoTide uses your WhatsApp Business Account and your number; Meta bills you directly for messaging charges, and we never resell or mark that up.
- Charges stay separate. The ConvoTide platform fee is invoiced by Moonshot AI Private Limited; Meta messaging charges are paid by you to Meta; SMS usage is billed separately by sms-ocean. See the full billing split →
- Consent is per channel. A WhatsApp opt-in does not double as an SMS opt-in, or the other way round. Linking contacts across SMS and WhatsApp happens only with explicit permission — never a silent data merge.
What carries over — and what is still in integration
Carries over
Your account and login. Activation is a click, not a migration: existing credentials, the business selector and the shared workspace shell carry into ConvoTide, and your SMS setup stays untouched behind it.
Pilot stageNot yet available
One journey across both channels — for example a WhatsApp-first update with a permitted SMS fallback, driven from one place — is an orchestration capability that is in integration, not yet available. We will not advertise it as live before it is accepted and shipped; when it lands it will arrive with explicit, per-channel consent and separate billing.
In integrationThat honesty line runs through the whole family: if a capability is not shipped, this site says so rather than implying it. For what is built today, read the product page; for what changed and when, read the changelog.
Which door for which job
- SMS — OTP, transactional SMS, permitted campaigns, SMS APIs: everything SMS lives on sms-ocean.com, including its pricing and developer documentation.
- WhatsApp conversations, campaigns, CRM and automation: ConvoTide, planned for the shared workspace at
app.capricorncorp.com/engage. Public activation is pending. - Evaluating ConvoTide: see the solutions by use case or request a pilot demo.
